A brief-ish check-in here, at least by my standards.
I left Philadelphia in May and headed west, looking for an intentional community. My first stop was Dancing Rabbit eco-villege in Missouri, which was very good (read my in-depth review here), but I kept on moving. I am now in an egalitarian political commune in Laramie WY called Solidarity Collective, where I have purchased, renovated and winterized an RV (photos here), and settled in for a season of studying Authentic Relating (I am enrolled in an amazing program), developing my author platform (see below), and leading circling online.
It’s been a crazy time but a very eventful one: figuring out the dynamics here at the commune (I made some very stupid mistakes initially), exploring the area which is truly spectacular, and a lot of traveling over the summer. This includes trips to Philadelphia and Mexico (to handle a dental problem and visit with Rebekah in her new digs in Puerto Vallarta), and an intentional community conference in Virginia that I just returned from a few weeks ago. I might move to Virginia next year, as the entire area bounded by Richmond, Charlottesville and Fredericksburg is an intentional community hot-spot. But I am in no hurry because I am very happy here. This place really works, I finally have a home after 3 1/2 years of “wandering in the desert”, in addition to a perfect climate for me and a great adventure of #vanlife mobile lifestyle. This is what I envisioned a year ago, taking to the road in an act of faith – or maybe desperation – and miraculously succeeded. I am now effectively a roving writer, Authentic Relating evangelist, and intentional community activist.
In other news, I have finished my third book, it’s called Broke, Single, Crazy and Old: the Redemption of a Sex and Love addict. I have been writing, editing and re-editing this book for 20 years and so this is quite a milestone. I am very excited as it’s my first book that could reach a larger audience (my first two books are more specialized), and I have decided to crowd-source both the editing and the marketing of it. You can read the introduction here and request a review copy here if you want to participate in this project.
PS: I will be starting some new private circles very soon. Sign-up to Circling Guide if you want to be notified, this list is for my personal author blog (and occasional check-ins) only.

Great to see you settling for a bit! My late husband worked in Laramie for many years. I love the Medicine Bow Forest nearby. We lost a llama there and found it a year later! LOL!
Sending love!
